Business adds the organizational layer: admin controls, group policies, SSO with custom identity providers, and SIEM export.
Because they cost us real money per use — content scanning and masking invoke Google's inspection APIs on your files, SIEM export runs dedicated delivery pipelines, and custom-IdP SSO runs on Google Identity Platform, which bills per user. We'd rather charge honestly for the features with hard infrastructure costs than make the free tier pay for itself some other way.
