What to include in a bug report
Most reports that stall do so because we can't reproduce them. A few details turn "it's broken" into a fix:
- What you were trying to do — e.g. "have Claude create a spreadsheet in my Sales folder."
- What happened instead — the exact error text if there was one.
- The Google account you connected (we only need the email, never a password).
- Roughly when it happened — a timestamp lets us find the matching audit entry.
We never ask for your Google password, and we never need the contents of your files to debug — ShareWatch doesn't store them, and neither do our support tickets.
Common questions
Claude says it can't find my file
ShareWatch uses Google's drive.file scope, so it can only see files you've explicitly shared with it. Share the file from the dashboard file picker, or paste the Drive link to Claude and it can request access.
Google's file picker won't load, or shows "invalid developer API key"
The picker is Google's own window inside our page, and it needs to set a google.com cookie there. When a browser blocks cookies for other sites on a page, Google can't sign you in inside the picker and shows a misleading "invalid developer API key" error — the key is fine. Two ways round it:
The quick way: open the same page in Chrome and pick your file once. The grant lives at Google, not in the browser, so from then on the file works everywhere.
Or allow cookies for this page in your browser:
- Chrome or Edge — click the eye icon at the right of the address bar (it says third-party cookies are blocked) and allow them for this site. Or Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → Sites allowed to use third-party cookies → add
app.sharewatch.ai. - Safari — Settings → Privacy → untick Prevent cross-site tracking, then reload. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → Safari → Prevent Cross-Site Tracking off.
- Firefox — click the shield at the left of the address bar and turn Enhanced Tracking Protection off for this site.
- Brave — click the Brave shield in the address bar and set Shields down for this site, or change Block cross-site cookies to allow.
- A managed device (school or work Chromebook, company laptop) may not let you change this at all. Use Chrome on another device once; the grant follows your Google account.
The picker says it couldn't reach apis.google.com
An ad blocker or privacy extension stopped the picker script from loading. Pause the extension for app.sharewatch.ai, or add apis.google.com to its allow list, and reload. Nothing about ShareWatch itself is blocked — it is Google's picker script the extension is refusing.
How do I disconnect ShareWatch?
Revoke access any time from the ShareWatch dashboard, or directly in your Google Account permissions. Revoking cuts off all access immediately.
Where can I see what Claude did?
Every action Claude takes through ShareWatch is recorded in your audit log, visible in the dashboard. Enforcement lives at the infrastructure layer, and the log is your record of it.
Never send us credentials. ShareWatch and Synapsium Labs will never ask for your Google password, one-time codes, or OAuth tokens by email. If someone claiming to be us does, report it to security@synapsiumlabs.io.
